Fall is in the air here in Freeport, Maine and at James Place Inn Bed and Breakfast, too. The mums have been planted, the early mornings are crisp and cool, and the occasional tree is beginning to show a hint of color. Time to get out and enjoy some of this and what better time than the last weekend in September at our Fall Festival here in Freeport. This event has been going on for a number of years and this year looks to be bigger and better than ever. There will be art, music and food on Saturday and Sunday, September 28 and 29 in LL Bean’s Discovery Park, just one block from us here at James Place Inn Bed and Breakfast. Over 100 artists will be featuring their work. Stroll their booths and enjoy various mediums of paintings, pottery, jewelry, woodworking, and so much more, including a juried section. Great sounds will be playing in the background starting at 11am Saturday and culminating with the voice of Amy Allen from 2-4pm. More music plays Sunday from 11am-4pm, featuring the Kenya Hall Band. Plenty of food will also be available and will feature Maine-made items. Come enjoy fall with the Fall Festival in Freeport, Maine. You’ll be glad you did!
