June in Maine

June in Mane can bring such beautiful days and today was no exception.  We were able to Two Lights State Parkcatch a few hours away from James Place Inn Bed and Breakfast this afternoon and headed straight for one of the many state parks of Maine: Two Lights State Park.  Two Lights boasts some spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean.  Today had just enough puffy white clouds to make the sky interesting; waves were periodically crashing on the rocks.  It was really beautiful and reminds us of how fortunate we are to live in Maine.  There were a number of people enjoying picnics and get-togethers throughout the park.  We even saw a few lady slippers while walking a more wooded path.

Two Lights is very close to Crescent Beach, so if it is beach you are looking for it is beach to be found but one mile away.  Crescent Beach is a beautiful Maine beach.  Long and sandy – great to walk on, or just sit and take it all in.  It is close enough to Two Lights State Park that you can walk from one to the other.  It is an easy walk, and quite delightful, especially on these cooler June days, before the sun gets too warm.

Next on your list can be Portland Head Light and Fort Williams Park.  These are just a few minutes from Two Lights State Park and are located along a beautiful drive.  The entire area affords glimpses of the ocean.

Make your travel plans for June and come to Maine.  Enjoy our cooler weather – warm days and cool nights, smaller crowds, and all of the wonderful things Maine has to offer.  We at James Place Inn Bed and Breakfast in Freeport, Maine will help you plan your time here so that you make the most out of it.  Come and enjoy early summer here in Maine!文件:Portland Maine head light.JPG - Wikipediabeach out of 5 best beaches in maine recommended is crescent beach ...
