The unofficial start of summer is here and with it the start of the LL Bean Outdoor Discovery School adventures. Every season offers a great opportunity to get out and try something new and summer is no exception. The offerings are great, especially at just $20.00 per person, all instruction and equipment included.
Kayaking is always a favorite among our guests here at Freeport, Maine’s James Place Inn Bed and Breakfast. This adventure launches from beautiful Casco Bay and offers views of Wolfe’s Neck State Park, Harraseeket Marina, and Osprey in their nests.
The fly fish casting, clay shooting, and archery take place on LL Bean’s beautiful wooded property just down the road. Shuttle service is part of the service provided by LL Bean and is picked up at the store just one block from James Place Inn. The shuttle takes you directly to location where your adventure takes place.
The guides that oversee the Outdoor Discovery School are delightful. They are all very knowledgeable and clearly enjoy what they do. A sense of fun is injected into all of the classes offered.
