LL Bean announces their summer concert series. Each summer LL Bean hosts various musical acts in Discovery Park here in Freeport, less than two blocks from James Place Inn. This 2014 season looks to be another winner with Toad The Wet Sprocket kicking off the season on July 4th. Great songs like “All I Want” are sure to be among those filling the night air here in Freeport when Toad the Wet Sprocket takes the stage at 7:30pm. All summer concerts in Discovery Park are free. It is the perfect Maine experience: a beautiful summer’s night, great music (free), and an amazing outdoor venue right outside your front door.
The rest of the lineup looks equally entertaining. July 5th is “A Circus Collective,” which is a circus arts troupe. This will be a great event for the entire family to enjoy together.
The balance of the summer concert series features:

- August 2 – The Mowgli’s
- August 16 – Jason Isbell
- August 30 – Brett Dennen
There are other great events happening at LL Bean throughout the summer. “Dog Days of
Summer” is August 23 and is everything dog, including best dog kiss, best dressed dog and many other doggie activities. This is another great family fun day, sure to entertain and make you laugh.
The LL Bean Summer Concert Series is not to be missed. Be sure to make a stop in Freeport to enjoy at least one of these weekend events during your Maine visit. James Place Inn Bed and Breakfast is just around the corner, making it an easy walk to enjoy these free events.
