Fall In and Around Freeport, Maine

The “Dog Days of August” are here.  If you have not had your summer vacation yet, it is not too late to plan one.  Fall foliage season will soon be here and it is one of the best times to visit New England and James Place Inn.  If you are not a fan of the heat and humidity (and I realize that for many of us here in Maine, humidity is relative), September and October are two fo the best months to be in Maine.  (September is my favortie month in Maine).  Typically, we have warm days and cool nights – perfect for enjoying all the outdoors has to offer; hiking, kayaking, bicycling, beaches, followed by a good night’s sleep in the cool weather – windows open.  There are so many special places we can send you to enjoy within thirty-to-forty minutes of Freeport.  Don’t worry that it is too late to have your vacation this year.  There is still plenty to enjoy here in Freeport, Maine.  By the way, did we mention lobster?!
