With Memorial Day comes the official start of summer. There are so many ways to get out and enjoy it in Maine and one of the best is paddle boarding. This is the latest sport to take hold and LL Bean is hosting a weekend-long event June 1-3, 2012 to introduce this sport, and others, to those wanting to learn. Join the free clinics at the flagship store here in Freeport, lead by professionally trained instructors. Always wanted to try kayaking? Take one of the 2-hour kayaking courses and learn how while enjoying beautiful Casco Bay. You can also try your hand at archery, clay shooting, and fly fish casting. Sign-up is the day of the class and takes place just one-block from James Place Inn. Get out in the sunshine and enjoy something new!
