Welcome to James Place Inn Bed & Breakfast, located in the heart of Freeport, Maine.

We are perfectly situated to shopping, restaurants and outdoor activities, whether here for your vacation, romantic getaway or business travel.  Our historic Victorian style house has been completely renovated to meet all of your needs, including WI-Fi, private baths and flat-screen TVs with DVDs and cable in every room, (we have a DVD library available to you any time).  We are located on a quiet side street, allowing you to really relax and unwind, enjoying our cafe-style deck for breakfast, or a good book and afternoon tea and snacks. Hang out in the hammock between the shady trees. Relax, your vacation is now!

There is so much to see and do that you will need a week to fit it all in! From sailing excursions to lobster boat rides to lighthouses to museums, we have it all. See our sample itineraries or things to do. As we like to tell our guests, “we can keep you plenty busy, or you can relax and do nothing at all!”

For your comfort and enjoyment, all of our rooms have private baths, individual thermostats, and air conditioning. A number of rooms feature Jacuzzi tubs or a wood-burning fireplace with a private deck. Enjoy a delicious full breakfast and locally roasted gourmet coffee each morning.
