Sparkle weekend is here once again. Freeport is all decked out for the holidays with lights filling the streets, music in the stores, candles in the windows, and trees all alight. I enjoyed a walk last evening and it really was beautiful. The weather was brisk yet mild for December, a hint of fog along the top of the treeline, and the streets all lit up, especially Discovery Park campus by LL Bean. The tree is magical, this year providing a light and sound show every hour on the hour between 5pm-10pm. Sparkle wekend, December 7-9, looks to provide more of the same, with relatively mild temps and lots of activities to keep you warm. The weekend starts with the parade Friday evening at 6pm. Carolers will be on the strrets, hot cocoa available, and of course Santa will be on hand. Horse-drawn carriage rides will be running all weekend, a Christmas movie marathon will be showing Saturday, and so much more! The stores will of course have lots of specials available. If you still need to do your holiday shopping, this is the place, and the weekend, to get into the holiday spirit, enjoy the festivities, and take care of your list. Come stay with us & enjoy!
